The Essex Junction Fire Dept is committed to providing the community with superior fire suppression, rescue and EMS services, but also just as committed to keeping you, your family, your business and your children informed and up to date on fire prevention education and safety.

Each year, the Essex Junction Fire Department teaches all kinds of Schools and Buisnesses about fire safety based on the NFPA annual fire prevention week theme.

 

We also hold open houses at our station where we offer demonstrations using the Bullex System and provide information and brochures to children and parents on fire prevention.

 

If you would like a member of our department to do a presentation for your business or organization in Essex Junction on a specific fire prevention topic as well as provide an overview of what our department’s capabilities and services that we offer are, please fill out the Fire Prevention Form and email it to fireprevention@essexjctfire.org.

 

Prevention tips:

• Change batteries in your smoke & CO detectors and test them often.

• Practice a fire escape plan in your home with your entire family.

• 911 street address clearly visible on your building or driveway

• Make sure your kids also know how to dial 911.
