Mutual Aid: Tractor-trailer v. Pickup

On December 13th at 15:41, Essex Junction Fire dispatched Mutual Aid to Essex Town on Colchester Road (2A), at the Essex Town and Colchester Town line, for a motor vehicle crash. Crews found a head-on collision between a pickup truck and a tractor-trailer. EJFD worked alongside Essex Fire Department and Essex Rescue, Inc. to extricate the driver from the pickup truck.

Due to extensive clean-up, Colchester Fire Department was also called to assist. Crews worked to contain and clean up the diesel leak from the fuel tanks of the tractor-trailer unit. Teams were on the scene for about an hour and a half.

We have no update on the condition of the driver who needed assistance. Essex Police Department is investigating the crash and should be contacted for any questions.
